After testing all of my tires, I found that the ones included with this
base provided the best traction.
The tires on this particlar version are hard to come by. I got mine from
Set 5571 - Giant Truck.
They're also available from
Set 8479 - Barcode Multi-Set.
Both of these sets are currently discontinued.

Bare Frame
The bare frame. You can see how one of the motors drives from the front
and the other one from the rear.

Frame Top View
Top view of the frame. The tires were so wide, that this was the only
arrangement I could come up with that still fit everything within a 10 cm
square.
